The role of Senior Consultant is diverse and offers an array of opportunities, both technical and managerial, for industry experts who are highly skilled and recognised within this area. Senior Consultants will generally hold the CREST CCT and/or CHECK Team Leader qualifications, or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of technical expertise.
Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate aptitude for the following:Ownership, research and development of a specialist discipline, subject matter or serviceSupport team technical development (e.g. through service development or research) and contribute to company technical processes overallProvide training and mentoring to other consultants on projects and in internal training courses, as well as suggesting other training requirements for individualsLine manage a small team of consultants, working with them where possible and providing leadership and mentoring for themDesign and scope complex and bespoke engagementsMaintain CHECK / CREST certifications and contribute to industry bodies as appropriateProficiency in writing technical documentation, helping to set company standards for reporting, project, and technical QA
