Mark is the CEO and founder of Context Information Security and has steered the company to become one of the largest UK technical security consultancies with increasing presence overseas to. Prior to launching Context, Mark was the Security Manager for PwC for 10 years. Today he has over 30 years of experience and is involved in a wide variety of security industry panels and has played a major role in driving the professionalisation of the information security industry in the UK and elsewhere.
Having served in the Army, I moved into the commercial security industry. After several projects I joined Coopers & Lybrand latterly PwC as head of Security. I focused on the design and implementation of a holistic approach to security, which embraced physical and Cyber protection.
I believe in strength through collaboration and try to be an active contributor to the security community both in closed and open forums. I have chaired the Security Researchers Information Exchange, organised by the National Cyber Security Centre, as well as the Operations committee of CREST. Much of my time is also spent briefing C-level executives of FTSE 100 companies on the risks of cyber-attack and strategies for mitigating those risks, as well as speaking at conferences.
I am very fortunate to have the support of a team of industry-leading consultants with a wide variety of complementary backgrounds to help organisations small and large to tackle ever changing security challenges. We are all dedicated to providing the best possible advice to help our clients understand the latest threats and ensure adequate mitigation is implemented.
