This all-day event is the first in a series of dedicated SASIG meetings to be held quarterly around the UK throughout 2018, under the general theme of "Civil nuclear transformation in context".
There are several emerging themes in the civil nuclear environment that remain mainly unanswered - including security risks, security standards & guidelines, and security convergence. The latter is an especially challenging topic, involving as it does the convergence of IT and OT, of safety and security, of physical and personnel security with cybersecurity, and not least of the defence and civil environments.
At each of this series of regular meetings, we will address key topics such as:
- Recalibrating the civil nuclear risk landscape
- Outcomes vs standards / guidelines
- What can we learn from others?
- Convergence - changing the paradigm
- Cyber leadership and governance
- Changing our people's behaviour, beliefs and values
The full agenda will be published shortly. The aims of this meeting are for delegates together to set the scene and to plan the programme of further meetings for 2018.
