Context's Pete Barbour, Head of Response, will be giving a talk at the upcoming SASIG event: PR and Communications before, during and after a security breach. His talk will be about "Guidance and expectation management for communications and PR professionals in understanding the technical challenges and mindset of the incident responder".
About the event:
How an organisation responds to a cyber attack, and specifically how quickly and skilfully it communicates with those affected by the incident (employees, customers and suppliers), can greatly affect its success in recovering. Effective crisis communication strategies will help to limit damage to brand reputation. The right messages need to be delivered to the right people at the right time in the right order - and this will include both internal and external notifications.
In this Masterclass we will focus on how to communicate effectively before, during and after a cyber crisis. We will discuss how to manage the media effectively, and how to deal with stakeholders such as industry bodies, regulators, lawyers, insurers and shareholders.
What is SASIG?
The Security Awareness Special Interest Group (SASIG) is a networking forum for those who have an interest in, or a responsibility for, raising awareness of security within their organisations. Context is a proud supporter of SASIG.
