Context has been CBEST accredited by CREST, the international not-for-profit body that represents and supports the technical information security market and that developed the CBEST framework alongside the Bank of England. Context has been providing high-quality threat intelligence for the past two years as part of the CREST STAR (Simulated Target Attack & Response) scheme and was able to demonstrate its deep understanding of the threats facing financial services and a robust threat intelligence operating model, as well as high levels of technical knowledge, skill and competency.
Because it is threat intelligence based, CBEST focuses on the more sophisticated and recent persistent attacks against critical systems and essential services and ensures that that the tests replicate as closely as possible the evolving threat landscape.
“We have already completed over 20 CBEST penetration testing engagements, and this latest accreditation allows us to support financial services organisations with the full suite of CBEST services.” said James Allman-Talbot, Head of Incident Response and Threat Intelligence at Context Information Security. “It is recognition of our world class threat intelligence team and further strengthens our position as a leading provider of cyber security services to the banking and financial services sector.”
