On 3rd June 2015, Context will be sponsoring BSides London 2015 and Ruben Boonen and Francesco Mifsud, consultants at Context, will be hosting a workshop titled “T3W3-WindowsPrivilege Escalation” from 3:30pm – 5:30pm at the ILEC Conference Centre.
BSides London is an event established and organised by information security professionals for the information security community and is designed to create opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration.
The workshop, “T3W3-WindowsPrivilege Escalation” is intended to provide attendees with a solid understanding of the various steps required to go from low level privileges toSYSTEM level privileges.
The workshop will be broken down into a number of sections and each will be followed by real-world practical examples that attendees can get their hands dirty with in order to solidify the theory. Ultimately, the workshop aims to provide practical knowledge that can be applied in the field.
Ruben Boonen and Francesco Mifsud are security consultants with Context within our Assurance team, both have a keen interest in privilege escalation and exploit development. In 2011, Ruben was an assistant trainer for Offensive Security’s Advanced Windows Exploitation course at Black Hat (Las Vegas). Since 2011, he has also been maintaining an InfoSec blog to share interesting research with a wider audience.
