Cyber Essentials Voucher Scheme launched in Scotland

08 Nov 2018

The Scottish Government has made £500,000 of funding available for a voucher scheme to help Scotland-based SMEs and charities achieve the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC)‘s Cyber Essentials accreditation.

The scheme, which was announced following the Scottish Government’s publication of cyber resilience action plans for the private and third sectors earlier this year, was launched on Wednesday 7th November 2018 and aims to support organisations in protecting themselves from cyber attacks.

Scotland-based organisations can apply for vouchers worth up to £1000 to achieve the Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus certifications. The scheme will run for 12 months or until the vouchers have been exhausted.

As a member of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC)‘s Trusted Partners scheme, Context is among the group of companies that have passed the advanced status of being Cyber Essential Certifying bodies.
