Mark Raeburn presents at the IAEA Conference

16 Feb 2016

Last year Context spoke and exhibited at the IAEA International Conference on Computer Security in Vienna. This conference is intended to foster international cooperation incyber security as an essential element of nuclear security.

Mark Raeburn, CEO at Context, was one of our speakers at the conference. His talk discussed the changes we’re seeing in the threat landscape and the challenges organisations are facing. Mark emphasised the importance of knowledge, understanding and information sharing for all industries.

The presentation looks at the different threat actors that now exist, how each are changing their tactics, and what organisations can do to protect against these threats. Mark discusses the blatantly accessible ‘hacking as a service’ and how this also affects the landscape. It is explained that organisations need to have a clear understanding of their environments and what their unique threats are; efforts should be focused equally on both protection and detection. There are solutions available, but these must be tailored suitably to each individual organisation.
