Video: CRESTCon - Reverse Engineering an IP camera

Alex Farrant, Senior Researcher at Context gave his talk on 'Reverse Engineering an IP camera' at CRESTcon earlier in the year and also at our recent event, CONverse. His talk looked how it was possible to exploit an outdoor cloud security camera without access to the local network, steal secrets including the home network’s Wi-Fi password, obtain full control of the PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) controls and redirect the video feed and movement alerts to our own server; effectively watching the watchers.
