RaMBLE was a tool developed as a Proof-of-Concept to highlight privacy concerns with the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol. The RaMBLE app was retired in February, 2021.

For more information on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) read our original blog here, and its follow-up here.

RaMBLE collected BLE advertising packets, and tried to identify devices based on their MAC address and the content of these packets. If you have the app installed, you can view past scan results, filter them, export them to a database and view them on a map.
