Alex Chapman presents at the SASIG Conference
Alex Chapman presents on 'Social Engineering in a Digital Age' at the Spring SASIG conference on the 9th June.
As spam, spear phishing and targeted attacks become ever more sophisticated, the need for user education, awareness and an effective response to these attacks grows even stronger. In this talk Alex presents the anatomy of real world attacks which use social engineering techniques to gain access to digital assets. The attacks will range from easily-detected mass phishing campaigns to more targeted, tailored and risky social engineering attacks.
Throughout the talk Alex examines how these attacks work, what exactly happens when they are successful, and how organisations can better defend themselves against current and future attacks. He also includes some of our own experiences and insights from performing targeted social engineering attacks.
